Qatar Airways starts direct flights for Kozhikode

Dubai, Jun 17: Qatar Airways has launched services on a new international route with direct flights linking Doha with the southern Indian coastal city of Kozhikode in Kerala.

The airways chief executive officer Akbar Al Baker yesterday flew with a high-profile international media delegation from Europe and the Gulf on the maiden flight of the route.

It takes Qatar Airways' capacity to India up to 58 flights a week spread across nine cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Trivandrum, Cochin and Nagpur.
