One held with 11 kg Hashish
Ahmedabad, Jun 17 (UNI) At least 11 kg Hashish, worth about Rs one crore in the international market was seized from a person at Radhanpur border by Sleuths of Ahmedabad zonal unit of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) today.
On the basis of a specific intelligence report, the NCB officers led by Zonal Director Ayush Mani Tiwari kept a vigil on the Radhanpur Border, the NCB sources said.
It was during the search of a Tata Indica Car the NCB sleuths seized contraband drugs, which was cleverly concealed in a specially made cavity inside the car.
The consignment was brought to Gujarat from Kashmir via Rajasthan for local sale in Surat.
The accused, Firoz Khan Abdul Rajak Pathan (a resident of Surat) was arrested under the NDPS Act. Firoz had confessed to the crime.
Further investigations were being conducted by the NCB sleuths to ascertain the source of the contraband drugs, sources said.
