Notorious rowdy sheeter, associates held

Hyderabad, Jun 17 (UNI) The Commissioner's Task Force today arrested notorious rowdy sheeter Mohd Rahmath Hussain and his three associates while they were attempting to extort money from a realtor in the city.

Police said Rahmat along and his associates demanded Rs 50 lakh from Pavan Reddy, a realtor, in a land dispute and put him under fear of death.

Though Reddy paid Rs 15 lakh, he continued to receive threats from the accused to pay the balance.

On credible information, when the gang reached the Yatri Nivas, police teams laid a trap and apprehended them.

Two swords, a car, Rs 5,000 in cash and a cell phone were recovered from their possession.
