National integration camp to kick off on June 18

Bhubaneswar,Jun 17 (UNI) In a bid to inculcate secular and scientific values and promote peace and brotherhood among the youth a week long national integration camp is scheduled to be kicked off here from June 18.

Jointly organised by NSS KIIT university and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), the programme would be completed on June 24.

NYKS Zonal Director S P Patnaik said 150 participants from Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, Daman&Diu and Orissa in the age group of 13 to 35 would participate in the week-long camp.

During the camp seminars on ''Role of Youth in National Integration, Communal Harmony and Nation Building'', '' Womens Empowerment and Role of Youth'' Academic session on HIV/AIDS, Anti-corruption and Vigilance Awareness and a Work camp to plant around 1500 samplings would be organised.

The camp would also feature programmes and activities like morning, knit India exhibition, rallies, pada yatra, regional language learning, quiz contest and cultural programmes daily to create an impact on the minds of the youth towards their personality development and social and national responsibility.

Union Minister for Rural Development Chandra Sekhar Sahu, Orissa Minister for Industries B B Harichandan, Revenue Minister Manmohan Samal have given their consent to grace the camp.
