Mother and three children committed suicide in Gulbarga district

Gulbarga, Jun 17(UNI) In an tragic incident a 35-year-old woman committed suicide after throwing her three children into a well in Gundagurthi village in Chitapur taluk in the district last night.

Police said that Devika Sharanappa (35), who was allegedly being harassed by her husband and in-laws for the last couple of years have decided to take extreme step and decided to end her life along with her small aged three children.

The distressed woman Devika had reportedly thrown her three children including two daughters, Ambika (11), Sanjitha (03) and Revanasiddappa (05) before herself jumping into the well.

The bodies of the deceased have been fished out from the well and a case has been registered against Devika's husband and her in-laws.

Sharanappa, the husband of Devika was however is absconding and police have formed a special team to locate him, the sources said.
