Five killed in building collapse in Madhya Pradesh

Gwalior, June17 : Five people including three children and a woman were killed today when a building collapsed here.

The two-storied building situated on a mound collapsed due to continuous rain for the last 24 hours and fell on an adjacent house.

The owners of the two buildings said that 12 persons were buried alive under the debris.

Rescue operations began immediately with the help of the police and the locals. Police said that seven persons including six children and a woman have been rescued alive.

The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital. Rescue operations are still under way.
