Illegal encroachements removed in Pondy
Puducherry, Jun 17 (UNI) Revenue officials and police demolished about 50 huts illegally put up by encroachers at Velrampet Ulandai today.
According to official sources, revenue official led by Tahsildar Yaswanathiah, with the assistance of police demolished the huts encroached upon government poromboke lands.
The officials faced no resistance from those, who illegaly occupied the lands, police said.
