Gold August 08 contract down

Mumbai, Jun 17 (UNI) Gold August 08 contract slipped by 0.06 per cent to Rs 12,277 per 10 grams, at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) today.

Silver March 09 contract gained by 2.95 per cent to Rs 24,913 per kg, while silver August 08 contract was down by 0.38 per cent to Rs 24,278 per kg.

The undertone in metals was moderate as aluminium and lead recovered, while copper and nickel receded. Lead July 08 contract gained by 1.49 per cent to Rs 78.30 per kg and aluminium July 08 contract by 0.67 per cent to Rs 127.25 per kg.

Crude oil September 08 contract lost 1.16 per cent to Rs 5,772 per barrel.

Cardamom July 08 contract was up by 1.52 per cent to Rs 703.50 per kg.

Jute July 08 contract advanced by 1.52 per cent to Rs 1,574.50 per quintal.

Mentha oil July 08 contract was up by 4.01 per cent to Rs 519.10 per kg and nickel August 08 contract was down by 1.31 per cent to Rs 1,055 per kg.

MCX futures more or less moved in tune with the global markets.

Only natural gas futures made some gains, an MCX release said.
