Four children drown in overflowing anicut

Alwar, Jun 17 (UNI) Four children drowned in an overflowing anicut in Amarpur village in this district of Rajasthan this afternoon, police sources said.

The children, in the age group of 10 to 15, went to have a bath in the anicut, which was in spate due to the increased flow of rainwater from nearby hills.

Their bodies have been extricated and handed over to their kin after post-mortems, the sources said.
