Devotee dies of burn injuries while performing ritual

Hoshiarpur, Jun 17 (UNI) A devotee of Baba Balak Nath lost his life while performing a ritual known as 'panch agni hath yoga' at village Fatehpur Kothi in the district.

According to police sources, the devotee, Kashmiri Lal (48) used to meditate by burning a fire around him for attaining 'sidhi' at his residence. On June 14, while he was performing the ritual his clothes caught fire and he received serious burn injuries.

He was admitted to the civil hospital here, where he succumbed to his burn injuries last night.

After initiating proceedings under section 174 of the CrPC, police handed over his body to his family for cremation.
