CRPF constable killed in Chhattisgarh

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Jun 17 (UNI) A Central Reserve Police Force constable was killed and two were injured in a naxal attack near Kanker district's Kondegaon today.

''The deceased was identified as Devidas. Constables Shatrughan Singh Yadav and Girijashankar were admitted to the Kanker District Hospital. A team of constables was returning with the bodies of rebels' victims when the incident occurred,'' said Deputy Inspector-General (Bastar Range) Pawan Dev.

In the two-hour long encounter, the Maoists attacked the constables who retaliated by opening fire.

A police force was rushed to the area.
