Couple found murdered

Jamnagar, Jun 17 (UNI) A couple was found murdered today in their house compound at Kalyanpur Taluka of Gangadi village, 140 km from here.

Police said Amardar Revagr Bavaji (55) and his wife Lilaben (50) were found dead in the morning at their house compound with deep head injuries.

On the basis of the information provided by the village 'Sarpanch', Kalyanpur Police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies which was sent to a nearby hospital for postmortem.

Police said on preliminary investigations, they found that the couple was attacked late last night while they were sleeping in front of their house. Severe head injuries caused their death.

Everything inside the house was intact so the motive behind the murder was not robbery, said the police.

Kalyanpur Police registered a murder case and has initiated further investigations.
