CM assures quality in PDS rations

Kottayam, Jun 17 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today asserted that his government would distribute good quality essential commodities at reasonable price through the Public Distribution System (PDS).

The Chief Minister was inaugurating the construction of Supplyco Hyper Markets in the state by handing over the documents for the construction of Rs 4 crore multi-storyed complex here to the state housing board.

The second Hyper Market as part of strengthening and modernisation of the Civil Supplies Corporation would be constructed at Thalasserry, he said.

State food and civil supplies minister C Divakaran said the Hyper Market was the third anniversary gift of the LDF government to the people. The construction work would be completed within ten months, he said.
