CAT stays SP's transfer in MP
Jabalpur, June 17 (UNI) The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has stayed the transfer of Shajapur's Superintendent of Police to Datia.
CAT Member M K Gupta yesterday heard SP J P Ahirwar's plea. A judgement may be delivered at the hearing scheduled tomorrow.
Petitioner's Counsel Manoj Sharma submitted that Mr Ahirwar was transferred from here to Shajapur about 11 months back. The officer was recently shifted as Commandant, 29th Battalion, Special Armed Force, Datia.
''A Supreme Court orde clearly lays down that officers from the level of Inspector-General to Station House Officer cannot be transferred more than once in a two-year period,'' Mr Sharma submitted.
