AP CM to meet Sonia, PM during Delhi visit
Hyderabad, Jun 17 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy will meet UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other Union Ministers as part of his two-day official tour to Delhi from tomorrow.
In an official release here, Dr Reddy said he would urge the Prime Minister and Finance Minister P Chidambaram to clear the proposal for setting up world class NTR Aviation University at the closed Begumpet airport. Besides, he would also urge Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar to increase the Minimum Support Price for paddy from Rs 850 to Rs 1,000 per quintal.
Claiming that the Congress was continuing its winning spree as witnessed in the recent byelections and local body election in the state, Dr Reddy said the state government was taking up several developmental projects with the support of the Centre.
Exuding confidence that the Congress would win 230 MLA and 36 MP seats in 2009 general elections, Dr Reddy said he would explain about his government's performance during his meeting with Ms Gandhi.
