Accused in human trafficking case arrested

Hyderabad, June 17 (UNI) Police today took into custody an accused in the human trafficking case which came to light following the arrest of BJP MP Babubhai Katara last year.

According to police, special teams arrested Bharatbhai in Gujarat and brought him to the city as part of the investigation into the racket.

Bharatbhai had close links with Rasheed, the suspected mastermind behind the human trafficking, police said.

Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) MLA K Lingaiah was also arrested in connection with the case while trying to send a woman on a fake passport to the US saying she was his wife. Rasheed was also arrested in connection with the case last year.
