3 killed in jeep, mini-bus collision
Panaji, Jun 17 (UNI) Three people, including a forest officer, were killed and five injured when a jeep collided head-on with a speeding mini-bus near Colvale bridge today.
The incident occurred, when the jeep on its way to Mapusa from Pernem in North Goa, collided with the mini-bus coming from the opposite direction, police said.
The deceased, regional forest officer Kashinath Shethye, Dhargal Panchayat member Dashrat Candolkar and Panchayat Secretary Satish Malik were occupants of the jeep, police said.
Driver of the jeep and four others, who sustained injuries, were hospitalised. Police has arrested driver of the mini-bus.
