3 killed, girl injured in Kashmir

Srinagar Jun 17 (UNI) Two people drowned while a boy was killed and a girl injured in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said today.

They said a vehicle coming from Tangmarg to Srinagar hit and injured critically a boy, Sajad Ahmad Mir at Wussan.

He was immediately rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead.

A girl was injured when a vehicle hit her at Chennar in Ganderbal district. She was hospitalised.

They said two people identified as Basharat Nabi Sheikh and Nazir Ahmad Mir were drowned in river Jhelum near NHPC power house in north Kashmir.

Efforts were on to fished out the dead body, they said.
