Tirupati, Jun 16 (UNI) The five-day training in Saivagama puja vidhanam to archakas (priests) began at the Sri Venkateswara Employees Training Academy (SVETA) here today.
Speaking on the occasion after inaugurating the training programme, first of its kind for Saivagama archakas, Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer K V Ramanachary, said the Devasthanams would provide a common platform for the archakas working at various temples across the country.

He called upon all arachakas to improve their pronunciation while rendering 'slokas' and 'mantras,' which were commonly known to be tongue-twisters.
Nearly 50 archakas working at various temples in different districts of Andhra Pradesh are taking part in the training.
SVETA Director Mr Bhuman said the training in temple rituals for the fourth batch of fishermen community would be held on July four.
