Punjab Youth Cong to highlight vendetta cases
Chandigarh, June 16 (UNI) The Legal Cell of the Punjab Youth Congress (PYC) today decided in the meeting to highlight cases of political vendetta and atrocities unleashed by the SAD-BJP Government on Congress workers in the wake up of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) elections.
The Legal Cell will provide all help to the victims of the vendetta politics of the State Government.
This decision at a meeting of PYC Legal Cell held here today.
The meeting was presided over by Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) chief Rajinder Kaur Bhattal. Mr Harchand Singh Barsat, PPCC member and Mr Harpreet Singh, Chairman of the Legal Cell also participated in the discussions held in the meeting.
According to Mr Raj Pal Singh, PPCC General Secretary the Legal Cell also put forth a demand for constitution of three member State Election Commission instead of the single member body on the pattern of the Election Commission of India to ensure free and fair polls to Local Bodies and PRIs.
