Obama to attend ATA conference in New Jersey
Hyderabad, Jun 16 (UNI) US Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama will attend the American Telugu Association's (ATA) 10th Conference, to be organised at Pru centre, Newark in New Jersey from July 3-5.
Addressing the media here, ATA Conference Coordinator Arjun Dyapa said Mr Obama had agreed to attend the conference, in which former Indian President A P J Abdul Kalam would participate as chief guest.
Stating that about 15,000 Telugu people living in the US would take part in the conference, Mr Dvapa said prominent people in every sector from Andhra Pradesh have been invited to attend the conference.
Business, women and NRI fora would be constituted to hold panel discussions on topics, including culture and tradition, during the three-day conference.
Andhra Pradesh Industrial Department officials would also convene one-to-one meetings with industrialists, who want to set up industries in the state.
State Information and Public Relations Minister A Ramanarayana Reddy, Major Industries Minister J Geeta Reddy and Rural Development Minister G Chinna Reddy would attend the conference as the State Government's guests.
