MNF decides Lalhmingliana as RS candidate from Migoram

Aizawl, Jun 16 (UNI) The ruling Mizo National Front today nominated Lalhmingliana to represent Mizoram to the Rajya Sabha for the second time.

There had been an infighting inside the party among four heavyweights, including Lalhmingliana.

MNF vice-president and home minister Tawnluia officially announced his party candidate at Hnam Run (MNF office) here.

Lalhmingliana started his political career as a student leader since the early 80s. He has been in journalism and played an active role in peace negotiations between the then banned MNF and the Centre, which ultimately led to the historic peace agreement in 1986.
