Man commits suicide after murdering daughter
Mumbai, Jun 16 (UNI) A 40-year-old man committed suicide by jumping in front of a train near Bhayander station in north Mumbai after murdering his minor daughter at his residence early today, police said.
The man, apparently burdened with some financial problems, slit the throat of his nine-year-old daughter with a sharp weapon around 0700 hrs at his apartment in Shanti nagar area of Mira Road when his wife had gone to drop his 11-year old daughter to school.
According to Mira Road police, Kishore Sanial, an electrician by profession, left the body of his daughter at home and boarded a local train.
As the train was nearing Bhayander station, he jumped in front of an oncoming train to end his life, police said.
When his wife returned home, she was shocked to see the body of her daughter.
Bodies of both the father and daughter were taken to Bhagwati Hospital for postmortems. His wife was later called at the police station for questioning.
Police said Sanial was in a financial crisis and therfore could have taken the extreme step.
