Hospital ICU collapses; patient dies

Kozhikode, June 16 (UNI) A patient admitted to the intensive care unit of the Medical College Hospital here died, after the ceiling of the room collapsed on him, today.

Police identified the deceased as Damodaran (55), a native of Aynikad in the district.

According to a police complaint lodged by the relatives of the victim, Damodaran died in the ICU after the ceiling of the room collapsed on him.

However, the hospital authorities maintained that the cause of the death could be ascertained only after the post-mortem.
