Different strategy of BJP for weaker seats: Tomar

Sagar, MP, Jun 16 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh BJP President Narendra Singh Tomar today said the party has chalked out a different strategy for 56 assembly seats where the party is comparatively weak.

Talking to reporters here yesterday, Mr Tomar said the strategy would be followed totally. Preparations were underway up to polling centre level in view of the upcoming state assembly elections.

Replying to a question about cutting ticket of some sitting party legislators, he said no such discussion was taking place within the party. Such discussions were restricted to media circles only.

He said a committee had been constituted for deciding about ticket distribution. Candidates who were likely to emerge victorious would be provided tickets.

Claiming that the BSP was not a challenge in Madhya Pradesh, Mr Tomar said there was difference in the conditions in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

A signature campaign was being carried out against the Centre for discriminatory treatment to the state. The campaign would end on June 25 following which a 'Nyay Yatra' would be taken out in New Delhi and a memorandum would be submitted to the Prime Minister.
