Col Bainsla arrives in Jaipur to hold talks

Jaipur, Jun 16 ( UNI) Gujjar leader Col(retd) Kirodi Singh Bainsla arrived here today to join in the on-going talks with the Rajasthan government over the community's demand for ST status.

An official spokesman said here that a helicopter was sent to Pillukapura to bring the Gujjar leader to the Pink City .

The decisive round of talks between Gujjars and the state government was scheduled to be held here later in the day .

In another related development , a group of Meena MLAs today met ruling BJP's state president Om Praksh Mathur at his residence to express their concern over reported '' readiness '' of the state government to write to the Centre favouring reservation to Gujjars .
