Body of MLA's wife to be brought to Udupi tomorrow
Udupi, Karnataka, June 16 (UNI) The body of Karnataka BJP Legislator Raghupathy Bhat's wife Padmapriya, who had allegedly committed suicide at a residential flat at Dwaraka in New Delhi yesterday, will be flown here tomorrow for the last rites.
According to police sources, the inquest was conducted at Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi. Mr Bhat was also present in the hospital.
The body would be brought here tomorrow by noon and cremated in the evening.
Police said the Delhi police have detained Mr Bhat's friend Atul Kumar, who had allegedly abetted Ms Padmapriya to desert her house and take a flat in New Delhi, for questioning.
The State police would intensify their investigation once the inquest report reached them, the sources said.
Ms Padmapriya had disappeared since June 11 when she left the house in her car to her parent's house in Karnad near Mulky. But, her car was found abandoned two days later near Kunjargiri temple.
After intense search, the police found that Ms Padmapriya was residing in New Delhi in a residential flat at Dwaraka and by the time they reached there, she had committed suicide by hanging.
