Three killed in road mishap in Punjab

Ludhiana, June 15 (UNI) Three occupants, including a woman and a child of a car were killed and two others injured when their vehcile was hit by a private bus between Jagraon and Mullapur village in the district this evening, police here said.

The occupants of the car were returning to the city after paying obeisance at Nanaksar gurdwara near Jagraon when a speeding bus of the Orbit company going towards Patiala rammed into their vehicle.

The driver of the car, a woman and a child died on the spot while the injured, a woman and another child were admitted to a hospital here.

Police have registered a case of rash driving against the bus driver, who escaped after the accident after abandoning his vehicle.
