Three businessmen abducted by naxals
Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, June 15 (UNI) A woman naxal was today killed in a police encounter at Armalmeta forest in Dantewara district of Chhattisgarh, police said.
A naxalite camp was raided by police this morning. A woman ultra was killed, while other naxals fled. A gun, countrymade mortar and naxal uniform and literature were seized from the spot.
Meanwhile, 30 businessmen were abducted by naxals from Durgkondal area in Kanker district yesterday but 27 were released in the evening.
Three brothers -- Shivprasad Singh, Sanjay Singh and Ramesh Singh -- were being held captive. Naxals also set up vehicles of businessmen on fire.
Police were making efforts to get these businessmen released.
