Simlipal closed for visitors

Baripada, Jun 15: The Simlipal Tiger Reserve (STR) and National Park will remain closed for visitors from Monday, STR Deputy Director Manoj V Nair said here today.

The road communication network inside the reserve was disrupted following the arrival of the monsoon rains, forcing the authorities to close the park.

The closure spanning over a period of four and a half months will end on October 31 and the reserve is scheduled to be reopened on November 1, the Director said.
