PM undergoes minor eye surgery
New Delhi, Jun 15 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh underwent an eye surgery this morning at the Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences here for cataract removal in his left eye.
According to an official release, he underwent an intra-ocular lens implantation after a brief surgical procedure.
The Prime Minister has since returned home.
The doctors have said that he can resume normal work from Monday.
