MLA's missing wife is somewhere in Karnataka: Home Minister
Udupi, Jun 15 (UNI) The mystery behind Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator's missing wife in Karnataka still persists with the police claiming that her whereabouts were still not known and Home Minister DR V S Acharya saying that she was somewhere in the State itself.
There were also strong rumours that the Udipi legislator Raghupathy Bhat's wife Padmapriya was actually traced two days ago.
Talking to newspersons IGP Western Range Mr A M Prasad scotched rumours that Padmapriya has been traced by the State police.
He maintained that efforts were still on to trace her.
Denying the media reports on the issue, he said the special team formed to trace Mrs Padmapriya, who went missing from her house on June 11, was still working hard to trace her.
Meanwhile, the Home Minister told UNI, that Padmapriya was yet to be traced by the State police. ''She is somwehere in Karantaka and police teams are continuing their efforts to trace her'' he clarified.
