Missing wife of BJP Udupi MLA found dead

Udupi, June 15 (UNI) Padmapriya (35) the missing wife of BJP Udupi MLA Raghupathy, was found dead in a service apartment flat at Dwaraka in New Delhi.

Mr A M Prasad IGP (Western range) informed this to newspersons tonight and said that a team of police officials went to Delhi in search of missing Padmapriya have found later died in an apartment in New Delhi.

Mr Prasad said that following information by one Athul Kumar, a friend of BJP MLA's family a search police team went to New Delhi and knocked the door of the flat in which the body of the deceased was found. The police had to broke open the door as there was no response to the police call at the flat. The police team found that deceased Padmapriya hanged to a ceiling fan inside the flat. Delhi police have conducted inquest on the deceased and investigation is going on, Mr Prasad added.

It may be noted that Padmapriya (35) wife of BJP legislator was allegedly disappeared from her house on June 11. A car reportedly taken out by her was found abandoned three days later in Dakhsina Kannada district. A special team has been formed to locate legislator's wife which ended into a tragedy.

Meanwhile State KPCC President and Oppositon Leader in Karnataka Assebmly Mallikharjuna Kharage have demanded an detailed impartial enquiry into the tragic death of Padmapriya, wife of a Karnataka legistalor.
