A spokesperson of the Hurriyat Conference (HC) said the meeting was called to discuss the issue of transfer of the land to SASB by the state government.

He said all the executive members, the highest decision making body of the amalgam, besides general council members would participate in the meeting being held at its Rajbagh headquarter at 1030 hrs.

The chairman of the amalgam Mirwaiz Maulvi Omar Farooq would also meet with the representatives of various traders organisations, employees associations, intellectuals and legal experts to evolve a common strategy gains what he called an anti-Kashmir move.

The breakaway Hurriyat Conference chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani and almost all separatists organisations, besides some social organisation have also protested against the land transfer to SASAB.

The state Cabinet has recently transferred land to SASB for the use of pilgrims during the two-moth-long annual yatra starting from June 18.
