Heavy rains lash Jammu
Jammu, Jun 15 (UNI) Night-long heavy incessant rains caused floods and landslides in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir, reports said today.
However, no loss of human life has been reported due to heavy rains, which have nearly paralysed normal life, throwing road and air traffic in this northernmost state into disarray.
As per the reports coming from districts, rains have triggered landslides, blocking roads at many places in rural areas.
However, the 300-km-long Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-1A) was open for traffic, Police Control Room, Jammu, said.
The Weathermen said heavy to very heavy rains would continue intermittently with lightning and the thunders for next 24 hours.
