5 met fatal end in road mishaps
Lucknow, Jun 15 (UNI) At least five people were killed and 11 injured in separate incidents in Uttar Pradesh districts in the last 24 hours.
In Barabanki, two Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus collided head-on, killing the drivers on the spot and injuring 10 people in the Loni area.
The deceased were identified as Nagendra Pandey and Brijlal.
In Lakhimpur Kheri, a sugar mill guard Shiv Shankar (28) was killed and another man sustained serious wounds after a tree fell on his motorcycle.
In Varanasi, a 55-year-old and 32-year-old were crushed to death after coming under the wheels of a running train in the cantonment area here.
Identity of the deceased was yet to be ascertained.
