TDP leader calls off dharna
Guntur, Jun 14 (UNI) The Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) senior leader and former minister K Sivaprasada Rao today called off his sit-in dharna infront of a police station at Narasaraopet.
Mr Rao launched the strike on June 12 demanding that the police withdraw cheating cases registered against him and apologise to him for foisting cases.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr Rao alleged that the police had registered cases against him to malign his image.
The TDP leader called off his strike after TDP Politburo Member N Harikrishna, MP, arrived at the spot.
