Son conducts father's wedding

Thrissur, Kerala, Jun 14 (UNI) A Christian priest today solemnised the wedding of his father today at a simple ceremony at Valappad in this district.

Sixty-four-year-old Antony, a widower, got married to Brajitha (50) at the St Sebastian Church under the supervision of his son Father Andry Kannanpuzha.

Besides Fr Andry, Antony has two more sons, both settled abroad.

His first wife Rita, whom he married in 1972, died in February 2001 and thereafter, he led a lonely life.

It was under constant pressure from family members, Antony finally decided to exchange wedding vows with Brajitha for whom it was the first marriage.
