Sharjah: Indian girl saved from committing suicide
Dubai, Jun 14: A suicide attempt by an 18-year-old Indian girl in Sharjah was foiled after timely intervention by Police and Civil Defence personnel yesterday. The girl, who threatened to jump off the balcony of a 13th floor apartment, was pulled back to safety by the police.
The girl standing on the ledge outside the balcony drew a big crowd as the family members were seen crying and cajoling her not to jump off. Some personal differences were behind the move, the Khaleej Times reported. The Police and civil defence men rushed to the spot and as they engaged her attention by talking to her. Some CID officers came up from behind and pulled her to safety.
