Cow sanctuary in the state

Bhopal, Jun 14 A unique cows-sanctuary will be set up in Shajapur district of Madhya Pradesh.

The sanctuary will be established on 472 hectare area spread over four villages Faraspura, Shyampura, Semli Baira and Narea in Susner tahsil, official sources said. During a review of implementation of announcements made by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan regarding the Animal Husbandry department here yesterday, it was informed that an international level Pashudhan Vihar would be set up in Bhadbhada area near the state capital at a cost of Rs 25 crore.

The sources said a bio-procedure zone was proposed on 500 acre land in Babai area in Hoshangabad division for breeding buffaloes of Jafarabadi breed. As many as 500 cattle wealth development centres would also be set up with the cooperation of J K Trust in nine districts at a cost of Rs 12 crore.
