Cong responsible for price rise: TDP

Hyderabad, June 14 (UNI) The main opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) today alleged that both the Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre and the Congress Government in Andhra Pradesh were both responsible for the unprecedented price rise.

Addressing a press conference here, party spokesman M V Mysoora Reddy,MP, claimed that the poor and middle class were not not in a position to complete construction of houses after the steep rise in the prices of construction materials like cement and steel.

Both the Centre and the state governments were competiing with each other in imposing taxes to the tune of Rs 8400 per tonne of steel and Rs 70 per bag of cement, he contended.
