BOI opens seventh branch in UK

Mumbai, Jun 14 (UNI) India's public sector lender Bank of India (BoI) today said it has opened its seventh branch in UK, which was inaugurated by India's High Commissioner there.

The new branch at Glasgow is the first branch of any India-based bank in Scotland, the bank said in a release today.

With this, the bank would now have ten branches in Europe and further plans to expand by opening branches in Beijing, New Zealand, Johannesburg, Canada, Tanzania and Madagascar. It has also plans to open representative offices in Dubai and Cairo, the release added.
