Two doctors dismissed for dereliction in duty

Darbhanga, Jun 13: The local administration today dismissed two doctors appointed on contract basis in the district for dereliction in their duties.

Official sources said on the orders of District Magistrate-cum-president of the District Health Committee Arun Prasad, civil surgeon Dr Lakhindra Prasad dismissed Dr Asha Kumari, posted at the primary health centre of Ghanshyampur, and Dr Purnanand Jha, posted at Bahadur.

The sources said both the doctors were absent since they joined their duties in January.

Prior to their dismissal, explanatory notices were also served upon them, the sources informed.
