Three members of Geelani group arrested in Kishtwar

Jammu, June 13 (UNI) Police today arrested three members representing separatist leader Mohd Ali Shah Geelani in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here said.

''All the three arrested people were representing All Party Hurriyat Conference Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who had to deliver a speech after Friday prayers at Jama Masjid,'' Superintendent of Police Kishtwar Mumtaz told UNI.

They were arrested before delivering instigating sermons to the public, he said. They have been identified as Shabir Ahmed, resident of Haiderpur, Noor Mohammad, resident of Thathri and Ali Mohammad, resident of Nowgam, Srinagar.

However, they have been booked under section 153-B RPC, the SP added.
