Shopkeeper dies while clearing rain water

Patiala, Jun 13 (UNI) A shopkeeper died after he fell trying to clear rain water from the basement of his shop in the Tripuri locality of the city this morning.

The flooding of the basement was caused due to heavy rains in the city in the morning.

The deceased identified as Pardesi, lost his balance while clearing the water in the basement. His head hit a concrete pillar and he fell unconscious in the water.

He was rushed to hospital but died on the way.
