Sarita suicide case: inquiry officers changed
Chandigarh, June 13 (UNI) The Haryana government today ordered that the inquiry into the Sarita suicide case would now be conducted by ADGP (Human Rights) Swaranjit instead of ADGP (Crime) Sharad Kumar.
An official spokesman said the decision to change the inquiry officer had been taken because Sharad Kumar had already applied for three month's leave which had been granted.
Sarita, who was allegedly raped by two policemen in Rohtak district, had committed suicide in protest against police inaction by consuming poison at the Haryana Police headquarters at Panchkula near here on Monday.
