Rupee opens low at 42.87/88 per USD

Mumbai, Jun 13: The rupee today weakened by about five paise at 42.87/88 against US Dollar from its previous close of 42.82/83 per dollar, on negative cues in stock market.

The Indian currency eased, following the downtrends in the local equity market, on the worries of high inflation hammering the growth sentiments, dealers said.
