Rane effigy burnt by Shiv Sainiks
Nashik, June 13 (UNI) Shiv Sainiks today burnt effigies of Maharashtra Revenue minister Narayan Rane at two places in the city in retaliation to copies of the party's mouthpiece 'Saamna', being set afire by congressmen in many parts of the state, including Mumbai.
Effigies of Rane were burnt by slogan-raising Shiv Sena activists near the Fame Multiplex on the Nsik-Pune road and in Indira nagar area of the city.
Late last night, Supporters of Mr Rane burnt copies of yesterday's edition of 'Saamna', which showed on the front page the revenue minister, attired as a newly-wed Maharashtrian woman.
