Premier IT group to host state-level Quiz competition

Agartala, June 13 (UNI) In order to promote modern academic activities beyond the prescribed syllabus among students in Tripura, the Northeast's premier IT group has organised its third All Tripura Mega Quiz on June 15 here.

Talking to mediapersons here today, Managing Director of the news-based website 'tripurainfo.com' and senior journalist Jayanta Debnath said besides offering handsome prizes to the winners, they would donate the entire collection of registration fees from contestants to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund like the previous years.

He said Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar would inaugurate the day-long programme in presence of other dignitaries and personalities while the winners would be awarded two laptops and Rs 10,000 in cash as the first prize, two desktop computers and Rs 5,000 cash for the second prize and Rs 3,000 in cash and two mobile handsets as the third prize.

''We will keep more than 150 attractive prizes for participants among audience and in addition special rounds with attractive prizes will be allotted separately for students of schools and colleges,'' Mr Debnath added.
