Pre-monsoon showers continue in HP
Shimla, Jun 13 (UNI) More pre-monsoon showers lashed several mid and lower hills of Himachal Pradesh last night with Una being the wettest in the state with 56.8 mm rain.
Una town witnessed 56.8 mm rains overnight followed by 14.5 at Dharamshala, 12 at Palampur, 2.3 at Mandi and 1.2 mm rains at Kalpa in Kinnaur district of the state during the last 24 hrs, the met office said.
Yesterday, the met office said the monsoon was likely to reach the state in another four or five days.
Meanwhile, the minimum temperatures across the state rose by a few degrees with the state capital recording a night temperature of 17.1 degrees as against 15.6 degrees Celsius recorded yesterday.
The minimum temperatures at Sundernagar and Bhuntar also rose to a degree each to stand at 23 and 22.3 degrees Celsius respectively, while the night temperature at Kalpa rose by three degrees to stand at 15 degrees.
Dharamshala recorded night temperature of 19.1, Una 24, Mandi 24, Keylong 16.4, Solan 22 and Palampur 24.4 degrees Celsius, it said.
However, the minimum temperature at Nahan in Sirmaur district fell by over four degrees to stand at 19 as compared to 23.7 degrees.
